FAQs
Are leap-day birthdays handled?
Yes - if you were born on Feb 29, the tool shows your 'common' birthday as Feb 28 in non-leap years, with a note about the leap-day quirk.
Why does the age sometimes round differently than I expect?
It uses calendar-aware arithmetic: turning 30 happens on your 30th birthday, not after exactly 30 * 365.25 days. So Feb 29 + 30 years = your 30th birthday on Feb 28 / Mar 1 (configurable).
Does the input go back far enough?
JavaScript Date supports ±100,000,000 days around 1970 - more than enough for any human lifespan. Historical dates (year 1500, 1800) also work.
What does 'total days lived' include?
From midnight of your birth date to right now (your local timezone), so it includes today. Hours and minutes are also shown.
